"I love her nude selfies. Like, I love the ones from the side, the back ones, and the front. I just love seeing her naked; I love nudity. And I love beautiful shapes," West told Harper's Bazaar.

"I feel like it's almost a Renaissance thing, a painting, a modern version of a painting. I think it's important for Kim to have her figure. To not show it would be like Adele not singing."

Despite being famed for her gravity-defying derriere, West said his wife's "heart" is his favourite body part.

There are few secrets left to reveal about the couple, collectively known as "Kimye" - Kardashian West's life is laid bare on reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, as well as her website and social media, while West likes to get things off his chest on-stage and via Twitter.

But the pair, who have been married for two years, sat down anyway for a joint interview with the September issue of Harper's Bazaar because they have been deemed fashions "icons" (along with models Lara Stone, Natasha Poly and Lindsay Wixson) and because they are publicity gold.

Alongside a glorious photo shoot styled by former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld, and photographed by head designer and creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Kardashian West spoke about her "hidden talent".

"I can smell when someone has a cavity. It's a very specific smell - not a bad-breath smell - but something that is really strong," she said.

Showing she is not too unlike the rest of us, she said her "biggest insecurity" is her weight.

"I would say looking fat sometimes. I really do take it seriously. I try to do what I can and diet and stay in shape, and it does make me insecure when I'm heavy," she said.

While the rapper said: "I used to have insecurity about my finances, then I announced that I had debt, and now I don't have any insecurities."

If you are a strong believer in the theory that Kardashian West and West say and do outlandish things to mock the rest of us, this interview might cement that belief.

A case in point was this comment by West: "Here's something that's contrary to popular belief: I actually don't like thinking. I think people think I like to think a lot. And I don't. I do not like to think at all."

Kardashian West almost topped her husband's musings with this: "I rented an island for his birthday. A far, far away place where no one can find us."

Giving some insight into their relationship dynamic without any smoke and mirrors attached, West scolded his wife for boasting.

"You see, those are the type of statements that make people not like us, more so than the "I'm the best" statement. It's more the "Oh, yeah, I just rented an island for his birthday ...," he said.

Never able to leave well enough alone, they also took another dig at arch-enemy, Taylor Swift.

When asked what their favourite song was from Swift, West said: "For me? I don't have one."

Kardashian West added (with an imagined feigned sigh): "I was such a fan of hers."
