At an extraordinary meeting of Queanbeyan - Palerang Regional Council on Wednesday night in Bungendore, the Operation Plan was adopted, plus amendments taking into account 31 public submissions.
As part of the NSW local government merger process, the council received $5 million to assist with costs in relation to merging Queanbeyan and Palerang councils.
Some of this money will go towards implementing live streaming, to enable wider access to council meetings.
Council will also update street and town entry signs across the council area for consistency.
Major projects adopted as part of the plan include the final allocation of funding to complete Queanbeyan's riverside park, drainage works in both Braidwood and Bungendore, construction of the Braidwood Waste Transfer Station, road maintenance, and planning for the upgrade of the Queanbeyan sewerage treatment plant.
"The Operational Plan includes some very exciting projects and a range of asset maintenance and renewal projects," Queanbeyan-Palerang council administrator Tim Overall said.
"It is important to understand that this Operational Plan represents the final year of the delivery program of the former Queanbeyan City and Palerang councils and thus includes the projects and services the two former councils intended to undertake."
In terms of rates, the general increase for councils across NSW is 1.8 per cent, however that may slightly differ for individual property owners due to a recent revaluation of land by the NSW Valuer General, a spokesperson for council said.
