The Westpac Foundation community grant aims to provide short term accommodation and a specialty youth case worker for under 25s at the centre.
St Benedict's offers services to those who are hungry, homeless, and abandoned, providing food, shelter and a connection to local services.
Often those who utilise their services have been abused and carry the burden of a multitude of problems such as mental disorders and alcohol and drug dependency.
Reverend and chair of the St. Benedict's management committee, Geoff Hoad, said often people who are homeless struggle finding a safe place to stay during their time working with St Benedict's to find longer term solutions for their situation.
"The grant will help us find short term accommodation for those under 25s who now represent a growing proportion of the people who come in to us for help," he said.
"It's heartening to see the business community through Westpac working with the church community and local organisations to help out the under 25s in our community."
