More than 40 stallholders will pack out The Q on Sunday, July 26 offering antiques and collectables, arts and craft, gourmet treats, handmade Christmas toys and decorations, jewellery, candles and soft furnishings.

Queanbeyan cultural development officer Georgina Perri said the festive event attracts hundreds of people throughout the day.

"People really anticipate this event, it's really busy from go to woe. It seems to be marked on everyone's calendar, we get a great attendance," she said.

"This year we've had stallholders travel from Cooma, Sutton and down the coast or from over the border. We always try to decorate the Q - throw around some tinsel and Christmas trees [to match the theme]."

Nerida Murphy will be manning a stall on behalf of The Queanbeyan Hospital Auxiliary. They will be selling hand knitted scarves, rugs, preserves, jams, cakes, jewellery, handmade novelty soaps and other knick knacks with all money raised going towards equipment for the hospital.

"I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting for this market," Ms Murphy said.

"I just think if we make $50, it's more than we had and we want to get the profile of the hospital out there. All the money we make really does go to a good cause because everyone will need the hospital at some point in their lives."

Entertainment will be provided by the Ukulele Republic of Canberra and newcomers the Pop-Up Choir.

Queanbeyan Rotary are teaming with the theme and will be selling roast beef rolls and gravy as well as traditional sausage sandwiches on the day.

Children will be able to enjoy free face painting and balloon modelling.

Another attraction this year will be the nearby one-off 'monster' charity book fair being held at the Bicentennial centre.

There will be thousands of fiction and nonfiction books in top condition, including current releases as well as a huge collection of vinyl records, CDs and videos.

The book fair will raise funds for the annual 'Festival of Ability' being held in December. The 'Festival of Ability' is a celebration and concert for people with a disability.

The Christmas in July Market and Monster Charity Book Fair will be held on Sunday, July 26 from 11am to 3pm.
