Elderly shoplifter punches store employee in Queanbeyan
A 27-YEAR-OLD woman has suffered minor injuries after being punched in the face by an elderly man at the Karabar shops.

The 62-year-old man entered the Supa IGA at about 10.30am on Sunday, April 5. Police allege he stole a number of items and left the shop without paying.
The employee approached the man and asked about the stolen property. The man punched the young woman on the left side of the face causing bleeding and a cut lip.
Passersby helped the woman and restrained the man. Queanbeyan Police arrived and charged the man with assault and stealing.
He will appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on April 27.
