8.45am Goulburn: A performing arts centre for Goulburn may be a step closer with Goulburn Mulwaree Council investingating a business plan to use the old ceramics room at the old TAFE building that now houses the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium.
8.30am Crookwell: Minister for Planning Pru Goward announced this week a new process for wind farm assessments whereby applications will automatically be referred to the independent Planning Assessment Commission for determination.

7.50am Goulburn: When are selfies about more than being self-absorbed? When they are Selfies For Sustainability. The 'Selfies for Sustainability' competition is the first event to be announced off the program for the Goulburn Connects Festival, which begins its second year in late October.
7.40am Young: A man from Young accused of molesting three children aged between eight and nine while they were in his care has been committed to stand trial.
7.30am Gunning: You've heard of Octoberfest, and Rocktober... but how about OcTUBAfest? It's an only-in-Gunning event and it takes place on October 19.
7.20am Queanbeyan: Four years ago Brett Marmont helped pull 40 asylum seekers from rough waters when their boat was left in pieces after smashing into a Christmas Island cliff face. Today, Brett will receive a Group Bravery Citation from the Governor General in recognition of his actions that fateful day.
7.10am Goulburn: It was business as usual for the Goulburn Mulwaree Council this week with Cr Geoff Kettle and Cr Bob Kirk re-elected to the positions of mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
