Yass woman dies as region records 440 COVID-19 cases

The district expressed their condolences to the loved ones of the woman in her 70s and a man in his 80s from Eurobodalla, who also passed away.

Of the positive results recorded, 294 came from rapid antigen tests and 146 were PCR tests.

There were 36 cases recorded in the Yass Valley LGA during this period.

Forty cases were reported from the Bega Valley LGA, 107 in Eurobodalla, 67 in Goulburn Mulwaree, 37 in the Snowy Monaro LGA, 13 in the Upper Lachlan and 140 in the Queanbeyan-Palerang LGA.

There are currently 31 people across the health district in hospital with COVID-19, with two in intensive care.

Across the LGAs, there are 5322 active cases.

A total of 34,044 cases have been reported across the district since July 1, 2021 and 28 deaths since June, 2021.

In the 24 hours to 4pm on April 13 across NSW, there were 17,856 cases and 21 deaths.

There have been 1582 hospitalisations with 71 people in intensive care.

A total of 96.1 per cent of NSW residents aged 16 or above have had one COVID-19 vaccine, 94.6 per cent have had two doses, and 61.5 per cent have had three.

For children aged between 12 and 15, 83.3 per cent have had a single dose and 79.5 per cent have had two vaccinations.

There are 49.8 per cent of children aged five to 11 who have had one vaccination.
