Fifty-five COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Queanbeyan Palerang Local Government Area (LGA) in the 24 hours to 8pm last night (January 1).

The Southern NSW Local Health District updated breakdowns of recent cases in each LGA in the district at 12.10pm on January 2.
Up to 8pm last night in the last four weeks, there have been 315 cases in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA with 145 tests in this period per 1000 people.
More than 95 per cent of the local government area's eligible population have had single and double doses of the COVID vaccine.
A total of 123 local cases have been recorded in the health district in the 24 hours to 8pm last night with two in hospital.

The case numbers have dropped in NSW from 22,577 on New Year's Day to 18,278 cases today (January 2), and two deaths have been recorded.
Of these cases, 1066 are currently in hospital and 83 are in intensive care.
Ninety-five per cent of residents over the age of 16 have had one COVID vaccine and 93.6 per cent have had two doses.
Dr Kerry Chant encouraged residents in this morning's update to get tested if they had symptoms and book their vaccines.

- Enter at rear of the hospital on Erin Street with dedicated parking on Collett Street.

- This clinic is not wheelchair accessible.
- No appointments nor GP referrals are required.
Queanbeyan Capital Pathology Clinic: First Floor, 23 Antill Street, Queanbeyan
- Residents are encouraged to call (02) 6285 9803 if they have not received their results from the clinic 48 hours after they were tested.
- The clinic is open from 7.30am-5pm from Monday to Saturday.
- This clinic is not wheelchair accessible.
- No appointments nor GP referrals are required.
