A Lufthansa flight en route from Munich to Thailand has made an unscheduled landing in India due to an incident on board.
The flight had to divert to the Indian capital New Delhi on Tuesday, Lufthansa confirmed on Wednesday.
The reason was the "unruly behaviour of a passenger" which "could have endangered safety and integrity on board".
The passenger was handed over to the authorities in Delhi.
According to reports by the Indian news agencies PTI and ANI, there was an argument on board involving a passenger who is said to be a German citizen.
The 53-year-old was reportedly shouting at his wife.
He also threw food and tried to set fire to a blanket with a lighter.
The subject of the argument is not known.
The pilots requested to make the unscheduled stop when the man failed to follow the instructions of the cabin crew.
