While all of Council's services and staff are deemed "essential", some adjustments need to be made to how those services are delivered.
Following is the current list of key services that are open:
- Building certification inspections
- Cemeteries
- Customer service call centre and online chat
- Development application lodgement and assessment (Online only)
- Dog off lead areas
- Family Day Care and Aboriginal Pre-School
- Outdoor gyms
- Playgrounds
- Public Toilets
- Kerbside rubbish collection (red, green and yellow bins)
- Waste Transfer Stations and Waste Minimisation Centre
Meanwhile, the current list of key services are closed:
- Animal Management Facility
- Aquatic centres and pools
- Queanbeyan indoor pool
- Bushfire/Disaster recovery centre in Braidwood (Available on phone and email)
- Buy-back facilities at Waste Transfer Stations
- Community Centres
- Customer service centres (including the Mayor/CEO's office and
- Queanbeyan Depot)
- Facilities managed by s355 Committees
- Galleries
- Indoor Sports Centre
- Lanyon Drive Cemetery Office (Available on phone and email)
- Libraries (Home library and online services available)
- Other Council-managed indoor venues
- Saleyards
- The Q - Performing Arts Centre
The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve rapidly and changes to service delivery can change quickly.
