Bungendore playground contract awarded: The contract to construct the new Bungendore Playground at Mick Sherd Oval has been awarded to Moduplay. Moduplay will work with the Bungendore Playground Working Group to continue to make minor modifications to the concept design. Work is expected to commence on the site soon and the playground is expected to be open to the public by the end of the year. The playground will use the existing shade sail and combine a variety of play equipment to suit the community's needs. Council has also agreed to fund the remaining works for the playground if additional grant or sponsor funding cannot be secured.

Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreement: Council has committed to a binding agreement with Procurement Australia for a Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreement. Council will join with up to 18 other NSW councils and universities to secure a long-term purchase power agreement for our large market sites and streetlighting. This will reduce Council's electricity costs by a minimum of $370,000 over 10 years. This agreement is a unique opportunity for Council to achieve its 30 per cent 2025 energy emissions reduction goal, while substantially reducing Council's electricity costs.
Road improvements: As part of the Fixing Local Roads Grants (Round 3) Council will apply for two projects, one at Hoskinstown Road and one on Williamsdale Road. If successful, the grants would allow for an additional 4km of Williamsdale Road to be sealed and an additional 3.5km of Hoskinstown Road, between the township and Rossi Road, to be rehabilitated and sealed. These roads are two of the busiest unsealed roads in the LGA.
