Headspace Queanbeyan is encouraging the local community to push for better mental health by completing 3,318 push-ups in 25 days this month.
Free to register, participants will take on 3,318 push-ups from June 1-25 to highlight the tragic number of lives lost to suicide in 2019 as well as raising vital funds for critical mental health support services.
Winston Seah, centre manager, Headspace Queanbeyan, said that the aim of the challenge has been to raise awareness.
"So far, we have raised close to $3000 which will be used for our programs for youths in Queanbeyan and Braidwood region. Our goal is $5000 and we encourage everyone to participate and donate," he said.
"We also have some members of our staff and Youth Reference Group (YRG) who are participating in the challenge," he said.
One can also donate directly to headspace Queanbeyan through the following link here.
The event is for all ages and abilities. Participants can aim for 25 per cent, 50 per cent, 75 per cent or 100 per cent of the daily push up target, or you can mix it up with sit-ups or tailored exercises.
