Country to Canberra's Leadership Competition is returning this year to award young women with an all-expenses paid trip to Canberra to meet with politicians and CEOs, undertake leadership training, advocate on key issues, tour Parliament and more.
In a brand new addition, students will also participate in C2C On Screen, after the success of its inaugural program in 2020. Winners receive two days of online workshops and networking prior to the Canberra Power trip.
Country to Canberra CEO Han Worsley says C2C On Screen and the Power Trip are about empowering young rural women to step outside of their comfort zone.

"From Tanya Plibersek and Larissa Waters, to Prime Minister Scott Morrison, past winners have met with top leaders and gained leadership skills that have helped them go on to make a difference in their local communities," Han said.
The 2021 Leadership Competition question is: Courage to Challenge: What is the role of rural women in driving change in their communities? To enter, Country to Canberra is asking students to either submit a 2-3 minute video or 400-600 words with their answer.
"As we continue to emerge from everything that 2020 brought us, we want entrants to reflect on how they can challenge the status quo to drive positive change in their local communities," Han said.
"We want to hear young people's views on how they work through challenges, and make their voices heard for the good of themselves and those around them."

2019 winner Siena Bordignon from Coffs Harbour encourages others to give it a go.
"The Country to Canberra Power Trip was the first time I felt truly appreciated and valued by those around me. It was a life changing experience that I wish every country kid could have for themselves. If the thought has crossed your mind about applying, take that extra step and go for it!" said Siena.
Country to Canberra is encouraging all eligible rural students in grades 10-12 to take part. For further details visit www.countrytocanberra.com.au. Entries close 12pm AEST, Friday, July 23.
