An Adelaide man who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl in the toilet block of a playground in an attack described as "abhorrent in the extreme" has been jailed for almost five years.

Hamzeh Bahrami pleaded guilty to four counts of indecent assault over the attack in April last year.
Sentencing the 33-year-old on Monday, District Court Judge Paul Slattery said the offending was brazen and egregious and Bahrami's guilty pleas came in the face of an overwhelming body of evidence.
"Your offending is abhorrent in the extreme. That you are unable to explain your behaviour is of great concern to me," the judge said.
"You accused the victim of lying and you fabricated a version of events in which you were blameless."
The judge said Bahrami had also shattered the sense of safety the victim's family had felt within their community and had impacted every part of their lives.
He told Bahrami his offending represented the most serious of its kind.
"While it may have been an isolated act, it was nevertheless despicable and its consequences will be borne by the victim and her family for a very long time," the judge said.
"You essentially preyed on a small innocent child, playing in a park in the vicinity of her own home.
"You lured this innocent child into the toilet block. You committed these abhorrent acts upon her."
However, Judge Slattery said he accepted Bahrami's was genuinely remorseful and that he had been bashed while in custody, applying the full 40 per cent discount on his sentence for his guilty pleas.
Bahrami was jailed for four years, nine months and 19 days with a non-parole period of three years.
