Two goals.
That was all that separated the Queanbeyan Netball Association and the Arawang Netball Association in the semifinal of the HCF State League on Friday, July 12.
Although it was disappointing to lose 48-46, Queanbeyan Netball Association coach Tina Phillips was really happy with the way the girls performed.
"We may have had a two-goal loss, but that was anyone's game until the dying seconds," Phillips said.
"We worked hard and we fought our away through the whole entire game.
"It was unlucky, but we'll be back next season."
Phillips put the loss down to a loss of concentration in the second quarter.
"We won every quarter besides the second quarter," she said.
"We conceded seven goals unanswered in that term and that was absolutely where we lost the game.
There were a lot of obstacles going into the season.

"It was that momentary lapse of attention."
It hasn't been an easy season at all for Queanbeyan, with the lack of key players that had in stages.
"We were just really happy we managed to get as far as we could.
"There were a lot of obstacles going into the season.
"We knew some of the girls would be unavailable throughout the season, so we were proud of the fact we had done so well even when short staffed."
Heading into the season, Phillip's goal was to get the players out on court and to get the best performance that she could conjure up from them and that was achieved.
Queanbeyan Netball Association president Kelly Lolesio was extremely proud of Phillips and the girls.
"It has been a fantastic season for our team," Lolesio said.
"It was great to see this team come together and produce some exciting results.
"The team also gathered a great following of fans across the season.
"We are very proud of Tina and the team for finishing equal second on the ladder.
"In 2020 we will be ready to take it one step further."
