North Canberra Community Council members, and other residents of north Canberra, are invited to the council's May meeting.

The meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 15, at the Downer Community Hall, Frencham Place, Downer.
Our April meeting considered issues of compliance with with our Deed of Grant with the ACT Government.
Those issues have been resolved, and we have now received our funding for 2018-19.
The meeting received reports on local developments including Dickson Towers (corner of Morphett Street and Northbourne Avenue), Pavilion On Northbourne, 'Parklands' (the area east of the Dickson swimming pool) and the proposed Dickson supermarket/mixed use development.
The meeting also considered issues of compliance with the Associations Incorporation Act.
The May meeting will receive a presentation on cat management in the ACT, and a presentation on north Canberra conservation issues.
Australian Progressives federal election candidate Robert Knight will introduce himself.
The meeting will invite and consider nominations for vacancies on our committee.
Committee numbers are about to be critically depleted by the extended absences from Canberra of two committee members.
The committee will provide an update on the preparation of audited financial reports and auditors' reports for 2016-17 and 2017-18.
Those reports are required for the conclusion of our 2018 Annual General Meeting.
The council will also receive reports on matters that the April meeting referred to the committee: communication strategy, website management, and the planning authority's questionable creation - without advising the Minister or the Planning Committee - of new codes and "precinct maps" in the Territory Plan.
