In the estuary, bream have been very active and last weekend the Clyde produced some stunning fish for me.
Most fish were caught in less than three meters of water and holding tight to oyster racks.

Locally, things look like they’re finally happening!
Ginninderra has been fishing well and the bigger fish have come out to play.
Gungahlin and Yerribi Ponds both have weed problems but, where you can sneak in a cheeky cast, have rewarded anglers with some chunky reddies 35 centimetre and over, and some small goldens.
Lake Burley Grigffin has been fishing very well and bait anglers have been doing best.
Yabbie meat has accounted for lots of big goldens, and by-catch redfin, cod and carp.
There’s even been word of a 40 centimetre brown trout caught at the Kingston Foreshore.
The big news locally is the upcoming open of the cod season on December 1.
This year it falls on a Saturday so it’s going to be a massive day on the water.
I know I’ll have my Lastcast Spinnerbait tied on for a mid-morning session, after a night of throwing Gobsmacked surface lures.
