Help shine a ray of light this festive season​

This Christmas, realtors Ray White will continue one such tradition of giving with the return of “A little Ray of giving”.

The Christmas campaign will see Ray White Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra partner with the Rotary Club of Queanbeyan to help locals who may need a little extra light in their festive season.

The Ray White team is calling on the local community to embrace the giving season and dig deep for the children who need it most.

“This is the sixth year that we've run ‘A little Ray of giving’ and we want 2018 to be our biggest year yet. When you see our Christmas tree go up, we urge everyone who is able to bring in a gift in for those families who are less fortunate,” said principal Brad O'Mara.

The gift drive is a way to help put a smile on the face of anyone who may need some extra cheer at this time of year, and Ray White Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra said it's as simple as can be.

“All you need to do is wrap up your present and drop it under the tree into our office reception,” said Victoria Scott.

Those who wish to donate a gift just need to inform the Ray White team if the gift is for a male or female, and nominate an age group.

“It's a really simple way to put a smile on the face of someone who might otherwise go without this Christmas,"” said Nicole Stewart adding that just a small gift can make the biggest difference to families who are struggling at an expensive time of year.

Ray White has run this initiative across Australia and New Zealand each December since 2012.

Last year more than 300 offices across Australia and New Zealand helped raise 30,000 gifts for disadvantaged families this Christmas.

Ray White Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra is at 2 Monaro Street, Queanbeyan.

They will have a giving tree in the reception area and will be collecting gifts from Saturday December 1.

Rotary International has been active in the region for nine decades.

The local branch meets at the Best Western Central Motel, Queanbeyan on Wednesdays from 6.15pm.
