Wighton last appeared in ACT Magistrates Court in April, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
But facing court again on Thursday, the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, three of common assault and one of public urination from an incident in Canberra's CBD on February 3.
Seven other charges were withdrawn.
The case was due in court on July 10, but Wighton's change in pleas means that the hearing is no longer needed.
The case will now be back in court on July 4 in the Galambany Court, which is a specialised court for Aboriginal offenders, within the ACT Magistrates Court.
The maximum penalty for assault occasioning actual bodily harm is five years in jail.
The Raiders announced on Thursday that Wighton had been stood down by the club for their match in Brisbane on Saturday night.
"Canberra Raiders today stood down Jack Wighton from this week's match against the Broncos and will convene a board beeting next week to discuss his position," the statement read.
"The Raiders will consult the NRL and are mindful that Jack was today referred to the Galambany Court next Wednesday 4th July.
"The Raiders board will consider the matter further in the light of the Galambany Court's decision next week."
