One house has been damaged with fire also destroying some surrounding bushland.
The fire affected a house on Ullamulla Crescent in Karabar.
The emergency services personnel have left the scene with the ACT fire brigade and NSW RFS joining the NSW Fire and Rescue to put out the fire.
Tim Carroll, RFS Lake George Zone Superintendent, said a small area of bush was on fire.
"One house has been affected but at this time other houses are not impacted," he said.
The alert level is currently set to advice but residents are advised to stay alert and can seek more information from the RFS website.
Any fires should be reported immediately to 000.
There is a very high fire danger in Queanbeyan-Palerang today with hot and windy conditions.
