Police say there have been reports of thefts of number plates, items stolen from inside vehicles and stolen trailers and vans.
The officers urged residents to remove all valuables from their vehicles and ensure vehicles are locked when unattended.
They recommend to secure trailers with a coupling lock or wheel clamp.
The police said the same precautions should be applied to your home by not leaving doors or windows unlocked and never leave keys in a visible or accessible location.
Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity to either Queanbeyan Police on 6298 0555 or information on any criminal matters can be reported to Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
