People at the Canberra Photographic Society are passionate about photography and work collaboratively to help members achieve their photographic potential.
Members meet at the Griffin Centre in Civic on the first three Tuesdays evenings each month between February and November.
In December the achievements of the year are celebrated with an annual awards night.
On the first Tuesday of the month - expo night - members share prints or digital images for comment and rating by an external judge.
There is a presentation on the second Tuesday.
At workshop night - the third Tuesday - members share and discuss images in an informal setting. The society hosts discussion groups, weekends away and excursions.
A current exhibition of members' work, called Different Views 2017, on display on the lower ground floor of Telstra Tower, features photographs of Canberra and region.
Out There 2017 will be held at the Watson Arts Centre from 14- 24 September.
Entry to both of these local exhibitions is free.
