Remember our fallen at this year’s service

There will be dawn and mid-morning services in Braidwood, Queanbeyan and Bungendore; a dawn service at the Jerrabomberra Hotel; and a mid-morning service in Captains Flat, as well as ceremonies in Majors Creek and Araluen.

The Braidwood dawn service commences at 6am at the memorial flag pole in Ryrie Park, and the mid-morning march begins at 10.30am.

In Bungendore, the dawn service commences at 6am and the main service at 10.40am. The services will be held at the War Memorial on Gibraltar Street.

In Queanbeyan, the marches commence at the RSL Club on Crawford Street and halt at the Cenotaph on Lowe Street, where the services will be held. The dawn march commences at 5.30am and the mid-morning march at 10.20am.

The Captains Flat parade begins at the corner of Foxlow Street and Braidwood Road and proceeds to the Cenotaph for the service.

The dawn service at the Jerrabomberra Hotel will be held at the permanent memorial stone in the carpark, with a section of the carpark closed for the event.

Uriarra Road water main: The water main works are on track for completion towards the end of April and then, weather depending, the works crew will be on site to undertake road works and re-seal the road.

We are seeking feedback on the directions and actions to guide the 2017-18 operational plan that is to be adopted before the new council is elected in September 2017. Consultation closes 21 April.

Disability Inclusion Action Plan: The draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan has been developed following extensive consultation with people living with disabilities, service providers, staff and the community.

The DIAP is now on exhibition for public comment, so if you have ideas on ways to reduce barriers and develop positive community attitudes and behaviours, jump online via the yourvoice website and provide your comments by 26 April.
