Canberra’s only dragon boat club for over 40 year olds, the Dragon Flyers, is welcoming new recruits at a ‘come and try’ day at Lotus Bay, Lake Burley Griffin on Saturday January 28 at 11am.

The day will include paddling basics, stories of guts and glory at their many tours away and getting-to-know-you fun. Club president Bronwen North said the day is a great way to attract new people to the sport.
“While the Flyers still love local and community regattas, we offer Masters age dragon boaters the chance to paddle with their peers at national and international competitions,” she said.
“It doesn’t matter if you’ve been fit in the past, you’re returning to sport, or you’re picking up a paddle for the first time.” More information: dragonflyers.net.au
