Hogs player/coach Joel Percy admitted the ANU side was "a little bit undermanned", but their 101-point demolition of the Griffins was definitely unexpected.
"It was a pretty good day for the club- it was the best I'd seen the guys play," he said.
"Our game plan came together, we shut down their fast switching and Michael Beer had the job on Tim Robb, the leading goal-scorer for the league, and he kept him scoreless- at times even pushing him up the field."
Harman were slightly inaccurate in front of goal in the first half, registering 8.10, but managed to keep ANU scoreless in the first quarter and a measly two points by halftime.
The Griffins managed a few goals after the main break, but an 11.4 second half from a more accurate Hogs outfit saw the home team run out eventual winners 19.14 (128) - 4.3 (27)- handing the visitors just their third loss of the season.
Percy top scored with five majors for the game, captain Daniel Spratt was given best on ground honours both for his constant efforts and leadership on field and his three goal haul, Aaron Found was also a solid target up forward with three goals.
"There was no real standout player, everyone stepped up," Percy said.
"Danny Dwyer and all of the midfielders put a lot of pressure on them and the backline said they had a lot of support from the mids.
"It definitely put confidence in our guys knowing our strategies work."
The Hogs take on Molonglo this Saturday at Hughes Oval and despite a 69-point win over the Juggernauts in round six Percy said he is "cautiously" confident.
"I am pretty confident against them, but they have improved a lot since we played them last," he said.
