A 61-YEAR-OLD Queanbeyan man has been confronted by two men, armed with knives, when he attempted to enter his Gerald Street unit last night.

The offenders entered the home at about 6.30pm stealing cash and other items including a mobile phone and jewellery. The pair also demanded drugs from the home owner before leaving, heading west along Gerald Street.
The 61-year-old suffered superficial cuts to his neck and hand during the incident as well as grazing to his knees. He was taken to Queanbeyan Hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Monaro Detectives attended and established a crime scene. They canvassed the area, speaking with neighbouring residences.
The first man has been described to police as Caucasian in appearance, mid to late 20s, 178cm tall with a thin build and black shoulder length hair. At the time he was wearing blue jeans, a dark jumper and a cap. He also has a tattoo on the base of his neck and on his right hand.
The second man has been described to police as Caucasian in appearance, mid to late 20s, 175cm tall, with a thin build and short ginger hair. He was wearing blue jeans and white t-shirt.
