Communications minister Malcolm Turnbull visited the firm's Queanbeyan office on Wednesday along with local member Peter Hendy to officially mark the occasion.
Codarra managing director Warren Williams said the online speed boost would enable his staff at his Queanbeyan, Canberra and Melbourne offices to work remotely more easily and productively.
"As an information and communications technology business, the introduction of the NBN will instantly bring multiple efficiency and productivity benefits to our operations. It will enable us to better communicate with our clients and provide more effective support for our software exports," Mr Williams said.
"Access to fast and reliable broadband will also enable our staff to work remotely. Be it on the road, from home or from our client's office, our staff will now have the ability to be more flexible and productive in how they work."
More than 2,800 homes and businesses in Queanbeyan can now connect to the NBN, with construction also underway to expand the network to an additional 7,800 premises in parts of Queanbeyan East, The Ridgeway, Crestwood and further parts of the CBD.
The communications minister, Malcolm Turnbull, said on Wednesday that the number of premises covered by the NBN's fixed line network has increased from 261,000 to 659,000 since 2013, while the fixed wireless has increased its reach from 39,000 to 169,000 premises covered.
"The switch-on of the network in Queanbeyan today and the extensive construction work underway elsewhere in the electorate shows how committed we are to delivering badly needed broadband upgrades sooner, at less cost to taxpayers and therefore more affordably for consumers," Mr Turnbull said.
The NBN has begun construction on its fixed wireless network in areas covering premises in Eden Monaro, covering Batemans Bay, Bemboka, Black Range, Candelo Town and Malua Bay.
