While even a mathematical chance of a finals birth has been impossible for many weeks now, the club's NEAFL side were able to sing loudly and proudly their team song "Tigerland" last Saturday after destroying the Eastlake Demons 20.13.133 to 11.6.72 at home.
It was their first win in 11 weeks, and with many trials and tribulations happening on the field since that round six win- also over the Demons- co-coach Josh Bryce said his men finally got things right.
"The guys came out and pretty much blew the Demons away in the first quarter which showed they really wanted the win," he said.
One thing the Tigers have struggled to do this season is have players bag multiple goals, but Brett Fruend and Andrew Swan kicked four a piece, and Bryce himself booted three.
Eighteen-year old young gun Matt Grocott made his debut at half-forward for the NEAFL side, and added over 20 disposals to his name in an effort that impressed Bryce.
"For him to come in and have that impact straight away- it's quite rare to get that out of a young player," said Bryce.
Fellow under 18s player Brandon Lagana kicked a goal playing in his fourth NEAFL match, while reserve players in Mitch Gorman and Kieran Shea also got a run.
But while there were a lot of positives to take from the Eastlake match, Bryce said there were still issues in how the team gets to their wins that need to be addressed.
"There are still lots of little things that aren't going our way though. We had a good score against Eastlake, but in the third quarter we let them back in, and if that had been a better team, it might have been a different result," he said.
"That's what's been letting us down this season, a quarter or 20 minutes of footy here and there that's losing us games."
