Whatever Whites coach Adam Fahey sprayed at his men during the break must have worked, with White again firing through the middle and diving under the posts.

The try was converted by Momsen, and another penalty goal a few minutes later had his men in front by four.

Wests showed their strength through the middle of the second stanza and pressed hard against the Whites goal-line defence.

But in a confidence-boosting play, Whites centre Keith Morgan took an intercept, and dashed 90 metres past three Wests speedsters to take his men's lead to 30-19.

A double to Lion Parsons off a nice chip kick-and-chase reduced the final margin to six, but it was the Whites who took the confidence boost heading into the finals series.

Momsen's double sealed his men's meeting with the Tuggeranong Vikings at Viking Park next Saturday in the John I Dent Cup major semi-final.
