HE may be out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, but Queanbeyan Whites half Alex Rowley believes the side's young halves will keep firing to finish in the top two of the John I Dent Cup.

Rowley suffered his injury during training three weeks ago and said he was disappointed not being a part of the finals charge, but with two rounds to go until the finals, said Billy Chalker and Mitch Douch could develop enough to match the Tuggeranong Vikings in the finals.
"Chalker's been doing a great job. He's not the biggest talker, but leads by example, and puts his body on the line," said Rowley.
With the nearby-placed Gungahlin Eagles and Western Districts Lions making the run home, it will not be the easiest task for the Whites to hold second spot, but Rowley said their goal was to win at least one more match.
Meanwhile, Rowley will travel to Ireland in September to further his rugby career for six to 12 months, following in club legend Sam Windsor's footsteps.
