Her high volume scoring comes with the team enjoying just one loss to start the season and sitting six points ahead on the Premier League ladder.

McLaughlin was pleased with her efforts however made way to credit the players she has around her.

"It is easy to play so well when you have good players around you," said McLaughlin.

Despite this being her first year with the club, McLaughlin said she had played with most of the players previously and chemistry with the team was never an issue.

"Coming into the team I knew there was going to be good chemistry with some of the people from the team," she said.

Originally a left-wing player, Coach Tilly Carbone moved her to play up front at the beginning of the season and the team and McLaughlin are now seeing the benefits.

"This was a bit different for me but I am enjoying it and obviously having a lot of success," said McLaughlin.

Her move up front meant there was going to be a new formation with the Palombi sisters in which she applauded their talent and chemistry that they already have.

"I have played with Brittany and Ashley [Palombi] before and so we had obviously clicked quite quickly again," she said.

The team will be put to test in the coming weeks with up to 6 players set to miss games for the Panthers however McLaughlin has said she has felt no extra pressure from the club to perform.

With this, the Panthers leading goal scorer is confident the team will still be able to perform and is confident the team can win their first premiership this season.

"With the talent and the depth we have I don't think we'll have any trouble," she said.

"We'll miss them obviously but I feel like the younger players will step into their roles and be able to do just as good of a job."

McLaughlin's scintillating form means she will be in contention for Canberra United again in the upcoming W-League season, however she said she is only thinking about the Panthers this season at this stage.
