The stage show is a hilarious journey back through ancient Egypt and is guaranteed to thrill as historical figures and events come alive on stage.
The production, out of the UK, will come to Canberra Theatre for the first time on April 22 and producer Andrew Kay said it's a throw back to ancient Egypt, with a twist.
"It's about the history of Egypt, but only the gruesome bits, the ugly bits, the fun bits but it's all factual," he said.
"It's pretty awful, but pretty exciting…if it was a movie, it would only be the car chases."
The audience will learn about pharaohs, pyramids and also discover some facts regarding death and decay with the meanest mummies in Egypt.
And, for the first time in Australia, theatre will be seen in 3D.
"They are incredibly complex projections, so everybody just sits in the theatre with 3D glasses while actors perform in front of a screen."
Mr Kay added that, while it was a bit gruesome at times, children will love it.
"Kids actually love it, it's not too horrifying to scare them, and kids have a great time."
