"I am truly honoured to have won Mother of the Week, and am so excited to have been recognised for something that I just do every day," Ms Cosgrove said.
"I'm overwhelmed and humbled to be honest. I was a bit shocked and a bit stunned when I received the phone call."
Ms Cosgrove said life is busy and hectic when it comes to looking after her brood of ten which includes a set of triplets and twins. The children's ages range from 14-years-old to 33-years-old. She also has nine grandchildren.
"I've always liked kids and I work in childcare. I didn't think I would have as many as ten," she said. "When you say 10, it does sound like a lot but when you live it, it's great."
Ms Cosgrove was nominated for the award by her youngest daughter Courtney. She is now in the running to be named Barnardos Mother of the Year. The winner will be announced in May.
