A boy has died after being accidentally shot at a property near Goulburn.

At about 11.20am, emergency services were called to a property on Fernleigh Close, Windellama, following reports of a shooting.
Hume Police District officers were told a nine-year-old boy had been injured after the accidental discharge of a firearm on a property, about 38 kilometres south-east of Goulburn.
The boy was treated for serious neck injuries by NSW Ambulance paramedics. The Goulburn Post understands a Toll helicopter with paramedics on board landed near the property.
However, the boy died at the scene.
Police have commenced an investigation into the cause of the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
