An unknown thief may have gotten more than he bargained for when he allegedly stole medication from the back of a car.

The stolen medication, meant for animals, could be deadly to humans.
An on-call vet in Maffra, 220 kilometres east of Melbourne, was loading stock into her vehicle outside a veterinary clinic at 6.20pm on June 10 when the alleged thief struck.
The vet said she left her car for a moment and returned to see the canopy was open and a man was walking away "holding something".
After counting the stock in the car, the vet found some medication had been stolen, police said.
The vet had an urgent warning for the alleged thief. The medication he allegedly stole could be "potentially fatal" if consumed by a human.
The man was described as tall and was wearing a black face mask and grey hoodie.
