A woman in the Queanbeyan-Palerang LGA has died, as 533 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Southern NSW Local Health District, in the 24 hours to 4pm on April 6.

She was in her 90s and the district expressed their sincerest condolences to her family and loved ones.
The death is the second reported in the LGA this week, after a man in his 80s passed over the weekend.
From today's (April 7) statistics, 334 of the positive results were obtained from rapid antigen tests and the other 199 were from PCR tests.
Out of the 533 cases, 158 reside in the Queanbeyan Paraleng LGA.

In other LGAs, 120 cases are from the Goulburn Mulwaree, 28 in the Yass Valley, 23 in the Upper Lachlan, 125 in Eurobodalla, 39 in the Snowy Monaro and 40 in the Bega Valley.
There are currently 5464 active cases across the district, with 27 people in hospital and one in intensive care.
There have been 31,106 in the district since July 1, 2021 and 25 people have passed away from the virus since June, 2021.
Today's (April 7) numbers reveal that a total of 22,255 cases were recorded across NSW, with 16 deaths.
