A man from Queanbeyan-Palerang LGA has died as 408 new COVCID-19 cases were recorded in Southern NSW in the 24 hours to 4pm Monday.

The man was in his 80s and died over the weekend. The Southern NSW Local Health District expressed its sincere condolences to the man's loved ones.
Of the 408 positive test results, 330 were from rapid antigen tests (RATs) and 78 from PCR tests.
The majority of cases were from Queanbeyan-Palerang (125) while elsewhere in the immediate region Goulburn Mulwaree recorded 73, Upper Lachlan 17 and Yass Valley 28.
There are 5415 active cases in the health district with 25 patients currently in ICU and 24 deaths since June 2021.
