
Thousands of dollars are available from Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council to help businesses and community groups recover from the devastating summer bushfires.
The QPRC Business Grants Program - Recovery to Renewal aims to assist small-medium businesses following the 2019/20 bushfire season.
Community groups can also apply for funding to conduct community-based events designed to attract visitors to bushfire-affected areas.

There is a total pool of $210,000. Funding is available for projects and activities in the following streams:
- Grants of up to $3,000 for Marketing Support, Online and Ecommerce Development
- Grants of up to $2,000 for Business Mentoring and Development
- Grants of up to $3,000 for Community and Business Events
Businesses located in the following regions are eligible to apply: Bungendore (including smoke taint affected wineries near Wamboin), Braidwood, Reidsdale, Nerriga, Araluen, Majors Creek, Bombay, Mongarlowe.
Applications close Friday, September 11, 2020.
The funding comes from the NSW Government to help businesses to recover after the 2019/20 bushfires. They consulted the business community on what priorities to consider and where support could be directed, and developed the grants in collaboration with council.
