Registered Nurse - Avon 

Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified registered nurse to join the Avon team on an part time on-going basis. Avon is a 32-bed Unit comprising 30 acute medical beds and 2 co-located stroke beds. 

The unit also caters for a diverse range of medical disorders, has the ability to provide for cardiac telemetry monitoring and regularly accepts patient admissions from the Emergency Department and transfers from the Critical Care Unit.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role will play an important role in providing care to acute medical patients as well as COVID positive patients at Latrobe Regional Hospital.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience in the management of acute medical conditions
  • Have excellent team work skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have experience in the management of COVID positive patients (desirable)
  • Have experience in the use of an Electronic Medical Records system (desirable)
