Her Christmas parties are becoming legendary. This year's theme was ''wedding of the year'', with guests dressed as brides, grooms, presents, flower girls and even bouquets. A fair few also behaved like the drunk uncle at the reception. The worrying number of nylon veils had some guests afraid the room would spontaneously combust. An Elvis impersonator ''married'' people in the Little White Chapel. Farrington, in her elaborate wedding cake dress, made a statement on marriage equality. The applause was huge when the state member for Sydney and national convener of Marriage Equality Australia, Alex Greenwich, gave a speech and ended it with ''Let's all go get married!''
Kerri-Anne Kennerley turned up in her own wedding dress from 1984. One bloke wore a penguin suit - not a tuxedo, but a full body suit so he looked like an actual penguin. There was also a Princess Beatrice with THAT headpiece, mail-order brides still in their boxes, and a girl who donned a brown morphsuit and went as a trophy wife. Australia's Next Top Model mentor Josh Flinn was in a replica of the wedding dress Brigitte Nielsen wore when she married Sylvester Stallone.
No one wanted the party to end; in fact, it almost lasted longer than Kim Kardashian's marriage.
