The last time these two teams faced off, the Blues destroyed their cross-town rivals in a brutal encounter at Seiffert Oval, coming away with bragging rights and a 56-0 victory.
The men in blue have continued to make a strong case for their third straight premiership, losing only once to the West Belconnen Warriors and holding onto victory against the Tuggeranong Bushrangers, despite a myriad of injuries to their starting line up.
Since their first game loss at Seiffert, the Kangaroos have won their last eight straight, and are now coming off the back of a huge 58-8 drubbing of the Tuggeranong Bushrangers.
The statistics present a clear challenge and Blues captain Tyler Stevens expects to face a very different squad to the one they played back in round two.
"We know this time around will be a little different," Stevens said.
"The first game, we knew the Roos were going to be a bit underdone as they didn't have any trials previously, and we had had four in a row so we were coming into form to kick the season off.
"The Roos have had some games under their belt, they have won some games, so this time I think we're going to see a much closer battle on the cards.
"It should be a good game, you will definitely be seeing the top two teams in action this weekend."
The Queanbeyan Kangaroos failed to respond for comment when contacted.
