THE Tara Laine trained Setta Rocks proved far too strong for the rest of the field in Sunday's Queanbeyan Cup, posting a comfortable 4 1/2 length victory in the marquee race.
Queanbeyan runners High Density and Springfields failed to place finishing 10th and 11th respectively.
Setta Rocks' victory marked the second time in as many years the Cup has been taken out by a raider out of Kembla Grange following Peal of Bells' win in April.
Setta Rocks was never troubled in its run, leading from start to finish to come home ahead of Nick Olive's Fullerton and Universal Pack.
Highly rated duo Al Ahmar and Awi Acting both failed to live up to their bidding.
Queanbeyan trainers had better luck earlier in the afternoon after Jack Van Duran secured a rare quinella with Tuscan Duke and Gaelic Cloud in the Country Style Windows Benchmark 55 (1100m).
Neville Layt took out the first race on the program with Nuns on the Run saluting in the Maiden Plate (900m) while Darren Bailey's Hey Porter claimed the Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1600m.
Q Racing's next meeting will be Defence Force Cup day on October 28.
