Traffic between Canberra and Queanbeyan will also be affected with work on Canberra Avenue at Harman.

Transport Minister Meegan Fitzharris said the roadworks were due to be completed in July.

"Safety will also be improved with a crash cushion to be installed at Harman for traffic travelling along Norse Road adjacent to the off ramp at Canberra Avenue.

"This will help to reduce any damage and injury to vehicles or motorists during a collision," Ms Fitzharris said.
