Students did an amazing job representing their class at the school level public speaking competition last Wednesday.
On Tuesday QSPS students will be participating in Queanbeyan's annual Reconciliation Walk.
On Thursday, QSPS will join students from the Queanbeyan School Education Group to sing in the Queanbeyan Schools Choral Festival.
On Friday, Emma will represent QSPS at Regional Cross Country.
Jerrabomberra Public School
This week saw our school Rostrum Speak-Offs. Walk Safely to School Day brought out many families who walked to school for the exercise.
12 runners attended the Regional Orienteering trials and we have 5 students invited to compete at state championships later this year.
The Resilience Project visited both Jerrabomberra and Karabar High this week and delivered sessions to students, teachers and parents.
The Anglican School Googong
Lovegrove Park in Googong is now open and our students got to give it a test run last week. This is the latest park in Googong which our students help build when they painted some 'totem poles' which were used as part of the fence.
Queanbeyan West Public School
This year's Athletics Carnival has been a wonderful success. We've raised $600.00 for Stewart House.
The first Good Effort Afternoon Tea with Mrs Muscat for this year was on this Wednesday 25 May in the hall. There were 39 students that had received 30 good effort cards.
The Queanbeyan West choir is performing at the Choral Festival which will be held at The Q in Queanbeyan on Thursday 2 June 2016.
Bungendore Public School
Bungendore children and staff today donned a mad array of hats in a colourful celebration of the Australia-wide reading of "I Got This Hat", a picture book by Jol and Kate Temple.
This is the 16th year of National Simultaneous Storytime, which promotes the value of reading and literacy and aims to encourage more young Australians to get their noses into books.
