Both markets are held on the third Sunday of each month.
Bungendore markets has been running for a number of years, and market spokesperson, Lyn Randall said they didn't notice a difference at first.
"We started noticing a difference in April, but in our most recent market in May it was just so quiet, we had about five or six less stallholders than we'd normally have, and with customers it was really, really quiet all day," she said.
Ms Randall claims they were not consulted at all prior to the Queanbeyan markets starting.
The market is run by Capital Events that organises several markets in the ACT.
They said their decision on dates was because alternative dates had clashes with other larger markets in the area.
While staff of the former Queanbeyan City Council approved Capital Event's application to utilise Queanbeyan Park, a council spokesman said Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council has no involvement in the operation of the markets.
"Any decision to change the date of the markets would be that of the organiser."
