The $5,000 grant is a part of the NSW government's 2015/2016 Local Sport Grant Program and Member for Monaro John Barilaro said clubs sometimes required a helping hand to fund projects and ensure that local facilities continued to be improved and kept up to standard.
"Sport is a huge part of our life here in Queanbeyan," Mr Barilaro said.
"We [the NSW government] are committed to delivering the best infrastructure to the people of this region and I look forward to seeing the benefits of this upgrade to the community."
Mr Barilaro emphasised the main aim of the 2015/16 Local Sport Grant Program, which is to increase regular and ongoing participation opportunities in sport and active recreation in NSW.
"We all know that sport is incredibly important for health and wellbeing, as well as bringing people in the community together," he said.
"Whether it be funding towards training programs to secure more volunteer coaches or helping with that much needed change room upgrade, those grants are designed to encourage more people to keep active."
