Work has already begun at Barracks Flat Park and is very close to completion.
Construction is expected to finish at the end of May.
Upgrades to Gracelands Park is expected to take two weeks after work begins in June.
Each park will have all play equipment, park furniture and soft fall mulch replaced.
Both Barracks Flat and Graceland Park areas have high populations of young families.
A council spokesperson said they anticipate that both parks will be very well used.
Barracks Flat upgrade is funded by council revenue at a cost of $120,000, and Gracelands will rack up a $83,000 price tag, funded by the City Care Program.
The City Care program was implemented a number of years ago and focuses on repairing roads, footpaths and parks in the Queanbeyan City Council area.
