The Tigers destroyed the Demons 26.17 (173) to 2.8 (20) to gain some momentum after winning just one of their first three games.

Paul Williams bagged seven goals for the hosts, who jumped to third on the ladder behind Ainslie and Belconnen.

Klemke was pleased his side kept its foot to the pedal despite the game being well in hand by the major break.

"We were aiming to play four quarters. Eastlake were probably disappointed in how they played, but we were very good," Klemke said.

"Everything we've been working on the last three games started to come together.

"We saw signs of it in the last couple of weeks, but today we did it the whole game, which was a massive positive. Our efficiency and stoppage work were a lot better this time and it makes a massive difference hitting targets."

Demons player Ash Moloney urged his young side not to become discouraged by the lesson dished out by a far more-experienced team.

"We've still got a lot of young guys who are still learning the game and developing, and Queanbeyan's a side which has played a lot of footy together," Moloney said.

"They have quite a seasoned senior list and had that experience over the top of us.

"We've got a good coaching set-up and structure, we'll learn from the experience and develop. Our job is to keep them all focused and we've certainly seen a lot of positives this year, today was just one of those tough days."
