A one-year-old girl has died in a unit fire in the east of Queanbeyan today, Monday, May 2.

Emergency services were called to a unit on Mowatt Street, East Queanbeyan, at about 2.45pm today. They found the unit to be well alight, a NSW police statement said.
"A 22-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy were rescued from the unit," police said.
"They were treated for burns and smoke inhalation before being taken to Canberra Hospital for treatment.
"Three police were also treated for smoke inhalation."
It is reported that about 20 people were evacuated from the unit complex.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, with a crime scene established at the address.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
