The renaming of the facility coupled with the Canberra Kart Racing Club’s $3.6 million master plan to create Australia’s premier kart racing arena has resulted in the booking of the championships, which is expected to attract more than 200 competitors from across NSW.
The Circuit Mark Webber leg is the first of three rounds, preceding events in Newcastle and Manning Valley, where the overall winner of each class will be crowned NSW State Champion.
The championships run between Friday, April 29, and Sunday, May 1, with the Fairbairn track on Pialligo Avenue officially commemorating the 2015 FIA World Endurance Champion by being renamed Circuit Mark Webber in a ceremony at 4pm on Friday.
